BACnet is a communications protocol for building automation and control networks developed under the auspices of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). BACnet is an American national standard, a European standard, and an ISO global standard protocol.
BACnet was designed to allow communication between building control systems for applications such as heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning, lighting, access, and fire detection, and the protocol provides mechanisms for exchanging information between building automation devices.
Delmatic offer BACnet Dali controllers which integrate Dali sub-networks into a building-wide lighting management system and provide addressable switching, dimming and monitoring of Dali luminaires via BACnet. Modules provide individual addressing of multiple Dali devices including Dali luminaires, Dali presence detectors and multisensors, Dali switches and scene-set switches, as well as Dali emergency luminaire monitoring devices.
