Dali Presence/Absence Detectors

The Metro Dali presence detector / absence detector achieves energy savings by relating lighting to occupation and ensuring that lights are switched off in vacated areas.

For ease of installation within a Dali environment, the Dali sensor connects direct to the shared Dali buswire which links the Dali control module to Dali luminaire ballasts, Dali switches and other Dali devices.

The detector is fully configurable through software and may be set to Presence detection on/off mode (which switches lighting on when motion is sensed and switches lighting off after the area has been vacated) or to Absence detection off-only mode (in which lighting is manually energised through a switch, infra-red device, telephone or web-browser and switched off once the area has been vacated). The time-out period is software configurable as are other parameters such as default on level and maximum output level.
